MARLENE

Marlene joined Gam-Anon Edinburgh almost 42 years ago, with her husband Bill joining GA Edinburgh at the same time. She was a kind, caring, wonderful person, passionate about Gam-Anon, and offered huge help and support to all who entered the Gam-Anon room, also attending many joint GA meetings and Conventions over the years. Unfortunately, Marlene was unable to attend meetings for the last few years due to being diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease, and passed away peacefully on the 1st November 2022, surrounded by her close family. Those members of both Gam-Anon and GA who were privileged to have known Marlene will never forget her.

SHEENA

Edinburgh Gam-Anon sadly passed away on 26th February after a short illness. She had been a loyal member of Gam-Anon for many years, having joined in 1981. Although her husband had died Sheena still attended her meetings bringing comfort and understanding to those in need. Regardless of the meetings being small, she still persevered in attending week after week and helping to make Edinburgh the successful meeting it is today. As her fellow members have said. ‘She will be sadly missed’.
